Privacy Policy

Information stored on your device

Velo & Vine is an offline-first app. Your local account and journey information are stored in the app’s private storage on your device rather than in a Velo & Vine cloud account.

• Account details you enter, including user ID, display name, email address, country, password hash, and preferences.
• Saved stages, wines, beers, recipes, cellar inventory, ratings, notes, and imported personal routes.
• Optional cycling-service credentials and tokens, stored locally using device storage intended for sensitive values.

Biometric sign-in

If you enable Face ID, Touch ID, or another supported biometric method, your device performs the biometric check. Velo & Vine receives only the success or failure result and does not receive or store your biometric template.

Optional third-party services

Features you choose to use may send information to third parties that operate under their own privacy policies.

• Cycling integrations such as Strava, Garmin, Ride with GPS, or Komoot receive authorization requests and provide activity data according to the permissions you approve.
• Google Maps Platform may receive route coordinates, place searches, and related technical request information when map, direction, or nearby-place features are used.
• Apple and RevenueCat process purchase and entitlement information when App Store subscriptions are enabled. Velo & Vine does not receive your full payment-card details.
• Opening producer, recipe, route, or travel links sends you to the destination website or app.

How information is used

• Provide and personalize race, route, wine, beer, and recipe features.
• Remember your local account, preferences, saved items, and journey history.
• Connect optional cycling services and confirm subscription access.
• Protect the app, diagnose failures, and respond to support requests.

Sharing, advertising, and tracking

Velo & Vine does not sell your personal information. The app does not include third-party advertising and does not request permission to track you across other companies’ apps and websites.

Information is shared only when needed for a service you request, when you choose to open or connect a third-party service, or when required by law.

Retention and deletion

Local information remains on your device until you clear it or remove the app. Profile Settings lets you reset saved journey information or permanently delete your local account and its associated Velo & Vine data. Uninstalling Velo & Vine also removes information in the app’s private local storage, subject to your device backup settings.

Deleting local app information does not cancel an Apple subscription. Subscriptions must be managed separately through your Apple ID subscription settings.

Children

Velo & Vine is not directed to children. Wine and beer content is informational; users must follow the legal drinking-age rules that apply where they live.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the app changes. The date at the top identifies the current version. Material changes will be reflected in the app and, when appropriate, in the App Store listing.
